The REAL Alternatives consortium is glad to share the news that SKVP has joined the group as National Lead for Sweden on Real Alternatives training. SKVP, the Swedish Cooling & Heating Pump Association, is the trade association for Swedish entrepreneurs working in the sector and it supports them in their transition to an always more sustainable and energy-smart future.
Moreover, the association focuses on strengthening the Refrigeration and Heat Pump market in Sweden by promoting a competitive environment and supporting life cycle-based decisions. It fosters knowledge development through research and industry standards. Additionally, the association engages with policymakers, highlighting the industry’s importance and advocating for sustainability through natural refrigerants and energy-efficient solutions.
In joining the project, the SKVP commented:
SKVP decided to apply for being a NL in Sweden as the new implementing act for certification is set. We find it necessary to provide good training material in Swedish for the industry now that everyone who works with refrigerants must have the right skills. Real Alternatives provides a good foundation to be able to do that and will also become accessible to everyone. It is hugely important as the changeover to alternative refrigerants will now proceed quickly.
Miriam Roadway, Chief Executive, Institute of Refrigeration and Real Alternatives Ambassador, added:
The influence of REAL Alternatives low GWP refrigerant training continues to grow. We are delighted to welcome our latest partner SKVP representing Sweden. This brings the total number of countries in Europe to 21 and globally to 25 who have joined this training consortium to deliver high-quality, consistent low GWP training. REAL Alternatives provides the training materials and the national lead will register trainers and deliver the training in their own country. This is a great example of an industry-led sustainable initiative to improve skills for the future in our sector.
