The Real Alternatives programme continues to grow, with important updates that strengthen our commitment to accessible training, international collaboration, and inclusive governance.
🔹 Establishment of a New Consulting Board
To further democratize the decision-making process of the Consortium, Real Alternatives has created a Consulting Board. This new body includes the project’s founding partners and two elected stakeholder representatives, ensuring broader input into the strategic direction of the programme.
We are pleased to welcome Stepan Stojanov from SCHKT (Czech Republik) and Biris Thanos from HUFGAS (Greece), who will serve a two-year term as the first elected members. Their insights will help align the programme with the evolving needs of the sector.
🔹 A New Website for a Better User Experience
The Real Alternatives website has been completely redesigned! The new platform — www.realalternatives.eu — features an intuitive interface that makes it easier to access multilingual e-learning materials, find official training providers, and explore certification options. Whether you’re a technician, trainer, or policymaker, the new site offers quicker navigation and a more engaging experience.
🔹 The next Train the Trainer event at Prozon
We’re pleased to announce that the next Train the Trainer event will take place in Warsaw, Poland, from 6 to 10 October 2025, hosted by our partner Prozon Foundation. The training will focus on the latest Real Alternatives modules, including flammable refrigerants, dioxide carbon and ammonia, and aims to expand the network of qualified trainers across Europe. These initiatives reflect Real Alternatives’ core mission: to provide high-quality, accessible training, support international cooperation, and ensure inclusive and transparent project governance.
